Tim Miner – TrailSherpa.com

I’m an avid day hiker and occasional backpacker.  I like to rack up double digit miles in a day and still have dinner with my family to share the stories from the trail.

Walking away from Mooney Falls - Havasupai, AZ

My wife and I have two small boys which prompted me to look for ways to bring more of the outdoors into my work.  My company builds websites and strategies to to use them effectively.  We spend our days showing companies how to build communities and conversations online.  So naturally, I wanted to craft a way to do that with the brands that make the gear I use.  Easy enough, right?  I thought so.  There was no reason to switch careers or some other drastic move.  Brands and bloggers that focus on the outdoors need websites and guidance on how to use them.  So I hit the easy button, cloned my existing business, and Trail Sherpa was born.

So what you see at TrailSherpa.com is the result of that desire – a way to help outdoor minded bloggers and brands communicate their stories online.  Maybe one day, when I am no longer willing to choose work over adventure, my boys will take over and I’ll hit the trail with my wife.  How cool would that be!

About the business and the Hydration Summit

Our logoTrail Sherpa is a digital strategy and social web design firm that works exclusively with outdoor brands and bloggers.  We are working with Geigerrig to develop and host this Hydration Summit to drive the conversation around hydration practices and technology.  There have been a lot of developments in the space over the last few years but like the team at Geigerrig we think it’s just getting started.

We built the Hydration Summit website on our Sherpa Sites platform to facilitate a lively and ongoing discussion about hydration and the trail.  We’re passionate about bringing like minded people together and we love the outdoors.

So I hope you join in the discussion and share your experiences.

I'm the founder of Trail Sherpa, a digital strategy and web design firm that serves outdoor brands and bloggers. I'm also an avid day hiker, occasional backpacker, a life-long foodie, husband, and father to two young headlamp wearing boys.
