I have a sweet water filter for use out on the trail, but it came in handy at home too. Out towns water supply was having problems with the spring runoff. I used my filter for a week on all our drinking and cooking water. I rigged up a gravity feed from one water jug to another and kept it full with almost no effort. Others in town were buying water at inflated prices, or drinking soda and juice from the store!

Nice! Great use of your resources…what filter did you use? I’ve got a small filter I take when traveling outside the US because water conditions are always sketchy.
It is a Sweetwater MicroFilter. Now called the MSR Microfilter. it folds down quite well, but you do need to be gentle with it. Over pumping will break parts.
Nice, thanks. I’ve been trying out the PurifiCup. It works great for a travel filter.
